Haiti: after the earthquake
Six months after the massive earthquake that struck Haiti in January 2010, aid from the UK was supporting charities such as Handicap International and ACTED, to help people who's lives had been transformed by the devastating natural disaster. From providing prosthetic limbs and psycho-social support to people who'd suffered traumatic amputations, to assessing the safety of buildings that hadn't been destroyed so that people could go back home, there is a long road ahead for the people of Haiti.
