Nepal: Survival and shelter after the earthquake (27 images)

On 25 April 2015, a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck central Nepal, killing over 9000 people.

Hundreds of thousands of people were in need of shelter, water, food and medical assistance. The government of Nepal requested international assistance and the UK government responded. I travelled to Nepal a few days after the earthquake to document the work of the UK's humanitarian response team from DFID.
